How Invisalign works
Benefits of Invisalign

As the global leader in clear orthodontics, Invisalign is discreet as well as comfortable. Invisalign has revolutionised the field of orthodontics, allowing patients to straighten their teeth without the need for traditional braces.

Treatment can be completed in as little as 4 months (depending on your individual situation). Invisalign also can be more affordable than traditional orthodontic treatment options.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a clear, comfortable alternative to traditional braces, using a series of custom-made aligners to gently move your teeth into their ideal position. Created with advanced 3D imaging technology, each aligner is precisely designed to achieve predictable, effective results.

Invisalign | How does it work

Every few weeks, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners that continues the progress until your treatment is complete.

What to expect during treatment

Initial Consultation
We’ll assess your smile to confirm Invisalign is right for you. Using Invisalign’s ClinCheck® software, we’ll show you a 3D preview of your new smile – from your first aligner to your last.
Patient undergoing initial consultation
Digital Scans & Custom Fabrication
We take precise 3D scans of your teeth and send them to Invisalign’s laboratory, where your aligners are made from smooth, comfortable SmartTrack® material.
Wearing Your Aligners
You’ll wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Every 6–8 weeks, you’ll visit us for a progress check and to collect your next sets. Most treatments take 6–12 months, depending on your needs.

Retainers for Lasting Results: Once your teeth are in their final position, you’ll wear a retainer to help keep your smile beautifully aligned.

How Invisalign works

  • Custom clear aligners are created based on your scans.
  • You wear each set for a few weeks before moving to the next.
  • Gradual movements reposition your teeth with precision.
  • Regular check-ups ensure progress is on track.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, you can. More adults have turned to orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign® to improve their smiles. You may be a good candidate if you aren’t satisfied with your smile or are experiencing dental issues such as malocclusion or crowding. Invisalign® can help restore teeth to their proper place.

Invisalign® is neither better nor worse than braces when it comes to results, but the method is different. You may find you prefer the benefits of Invisalign®, such as being able to remove the tray for meals and how discreet they are, so it may be a better choice for you personally.

The best way to determine if Invisalign is right for you is to schedule a consultation with our practice. That way, we’ll be able to look in your mouth and perform scans that can determine what will work for you. Generally, those who do well with Invisalign have slight teeth misalignment or small gaps they wish to correct.

It will depend on how many aligners you will need to reach your oral health goals, how complex the changes are, and how many appointments and adjustments you need with your dentist or orthodontist.
